Does pee turn blue in the pool?

The number one myth that we hear every day is that if you urinate in the pool, it could turn blue. It has started back in about the 50s, and it was really about shaming people to stop them from peeing or urinating in the pool, but that's fake news!


In fact, no chemical is commercially available to activate urine in a swimming pool or ammonia to turn blue.
